Magnetic stripe Card is a magnetic recording medium car. In general, one side of the card is printed with instructional information, such as the direction of card inserting; the other side has a magnetic stripe. A magnetic strip is a thin layer of ferric oxide particles (also known as pigments) that are aligned and oriented. It is tightly bonded together with resin binders and bonded to a nonmagnetic substrate medium such as paper or plastic. 

Magnetic strip is essentially the same as a computer tape or disk that can be used to record letters, characters, and numbers. The magnetic card is formed by bonding or heating tightly with plastic or paper. The information contained in magnetic stripe is usually larger than that in long bar code. The magnetic stripe can be divided into three independent tracks, called TK1, TK2, TK3

1,TK1 can write up to 79 letters or characters at most, record numbers (0-9), letters (a-z) and other symbols (such as brackets, separators, etc.);

2,TK2 can write 40 characters at most, only numbers (0-9);

3,TK3 can write 107 characters at most, only numbers (0-9). 

The magnetic force is generally divided into low magnetic stripe (300oe) and high magnetic stripe (2750oe). In addition, 600oe has low resistance and high 3500oe resistance. 

Usually, the color of magnetic stripes is black. Other special colors are gold, silver, coffee, green and red magnetic stripes.
